Bioresearch Pet Snail

sun Ku

On Saturday we had a meeting of the Club Books. "Towards the Sun" Inga Iwasiów is a continuation of "Bambino", the book that we read not so long ago. Then a few people have expressed even wish - oh, so to have the second book, the sequel. But "be careful what you wish for." Only a few have read the entire "Towards the Sun". Multiple threads, interwoven with each other to discourage them to monitor closely. Long sentence, unique style that so appealed to the "Bambino" We feel a little bit boring; ... and actually do not know why ... Maybe the curse of "sequel." Pity because Inga Iwasiów meeting was very intelligent, lovely person, full of tact and professionalism. I read reviews of "Towards the Sun" and I know that my club is rather lonely in his criticism - the style experts rave about the writer. We have only the hope that the third book, this, as it You can now call the series, will benefit from the transfer of shares to another city and returns to the freshness of what was for us, "Bambino". Maybe you just were not prepared enough intelektualizowania, stylistic play - maybe we were waiting for something simple, but good.

chose books for the next meeting - as usual voted. Hanus passed with "The Causeway", Joanna Bator with "Sand Mountain", Janusz Rudnicki with "Death of Bohemian Dog" and Agata Tuszyńska the "Accused: Vera Gran." Did not pass the controversial biography Kapuscinski biography Giedroyc and "Diaries" Mrozek - the latter because of its volume. Glowacki has not gone well with the story based on characters Kosinski and his colorful life in New York, unfortunately, a tragic end.

The meeting was a handful of us this time - someone stranded on Vashon Island, someone else had tickets to a concert for children ... ot, Saturday classes and adventures. But still we managed to eat, this time the Greek lunch. Now reads "A fifth of the World Party" Kutz. Meeting in November. And then - Christmas party!
