Today I will present real pearls-art-two monuments of the dam on the river in the Forest and Kwisa Złotniki Lubańskich.
Kwisa, the sources must be sought in Jizera mountains, it is unpredictable, wild and dangerous river even today. Although there are two big dams, we, over 10 years, we have seen two floods in the Forest and some flooding in Gryfów Silesia.

Before the artificial reservoirs, the situation was more dramatic. Floods have ravaged the area in a violent manner, repeated wielkokrotnie, died possessions, people died. Something of this had to be done. There was therefore the decision to build the reservoir in the vicinity of the castle Kwisa Czocha near Forest.
dam construction began in 1901, and the official opening of the dam was accomplished in 1905. Power plant was established near the dam. It consists of six turbines (1907) with a total capacity 2.61 MW and 6 generators EPS from 1907 and the present.
After the war power has become the oldest tank hydroelectric power station in Poland.

second dam-Złotnicka, away from our house about 800 meters, was put into service in 1924. Its name comes from a nearby village, Złotniki LUBAŃSKI.

I love going to the dam, as they are dumping water transfer. Sometimes the noise can be heard up near our house. Then refer the impression that I live by the sea.
